International grocery multiple seeks a high performing operations director to drive business performance across 150 high volume superstores in one of their developing markets.
As retail operations director you shall work in partnership with finance, buying, merchandising, supply chain and logistics. Your role is to develop strong relationships with the senior management team to ensure delivery of the business plan.
Reporting to the board of directors on sales against annual business plan you shall interface with several departments-
Liaising with buying and store ops you shall strive to understand local consumer spending habits which show considerable regional variation, stores must be reflective of local customer preference.
Working with the CFO you shall ensure costs are kept within pre defined boundaries and that property is on track to deliver on time and on budget.
You must have charisma, the ability to influence and build close relationships with your regional management population, creating an open and inclusive culture where people enjoy being part of the team yet equally understand the expectations of delivery.
We are interested to speak with experienced regional or director level managers with a track record of delivery on a similar scale. The business needs someone that knows food retailing and can use the most modern retailing principles to coach and develop the regional management population.
It is not necessary that you have experience of international markets however it is expected that you will have managed on a regional or national basis having been accountable for the most prominent areas of your business.
