Our client is a well known and award-winning retailer with a strong presence both in the UK and Internationally. They are innovative by nature and committed to expansion of their product mix and to providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Since their launch they have enjoyed a significant and sustained period of growth and because of this they are looking to recruit a Senior Buyer within their Hardlines team to help drive further growth.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for launching a new category for the business and as such you will be expected to deliver a commercially viable range of branded car accessories and automotive products. In this position you will report to the Category Manager and be responsible for delivering the budgeted sales figures through effective negotiations and supplier management. The role will require the successful candidate to provide a strategic lead to a team of Buyers and Assistant Buyers and to develop their skills in order that they can progress through the business.
The Person
The role will require a bright, ambitious and commercially minded Senior Buyer with a proven track record of success gained in a blue chip environment. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate very strong numeric and analytical skills and experience of dealing with big brand suppliers. You will already have experience of buying automotive products or a similarly related area such as Home & Garden, DIY or Tools.
