Buying Manager Private Label

Private label buying manager to forecast, plan and buy the Private Label range for a successful international retail group.
You will be required to develop a Private Label group to ensure best pricing and product differentiation is dealt with across each international market. Interfacing with manufacturers to support development of the Private Label proposition for the business, in particular Own Label within new categories.
You must ensure that good are purchased on budget ensuring availability of an appropriately differentiated Private Label range at best prices with stretching but realistic rebate structures in place. Secondly the offer must have the

Development of a cost effective Private Label proposition for the group ensuring processes and structures are followed to ensure the product is fit for purpose. Ensure there is continuity of brand standards across the group, with high standards adhered to from the manufacturers. You should nurture a partnership with manufactures to develop a strong own brand offer acting as the central contact for any supplier enquiries.
The role calls for you to present analysis of private label reporting to the group. Providing country by country performance and identification of poor product performance You must also communicate in a clear open manner with each manufacturer to discuss trading performance and any corrective plans required to meet targets.
You shall interface with manufacturing and commercial contacts within Private Label manufacturers you should also work cross functionally with internal peers Buyers & Category Managers for branded categories.
We are interested in buying managers with experience of demand forecasting for private label. You must demonstrate a strong commercial track record with experience of negotiating with major suppliers handling purchasing budgets, targets and business plans.
You should be highly numerate with the ability to work under pressure and deliver against deadlines. The role requires a confident communicator who can have impact and influence at all levels and an eye for detail with the ability to forward plan.
