Retail Operations Director

Supermarket retail business with impressive ongoing expansion seeks a high performing operations director to drive business performance across 150 high volume superstores.
As retail operations director you must work cross functionally with finance, buying, merchandising, supply chain and logistics. Your role is to develop strong relationships with the senior management team to ensure delivery of the business plan.
Reporting to the board of directors on sales against annual business plan you shall interface with several departments-
Liaising with buying and store ops you shall strive to understand local consumer spending habits which show considerable regional variation, stores must be reflective of local customer preference.
Working with the CFO you shall ensure costs are kept within pre defined boundaries and that property is on track to deliver on time and on budget.
Finally you need to be a strong influencer with the ability to build close relationships with your regional management population, creating an open and inclusive culture where people enjoy being part of the team.
You should have experience at a regional or directorship level within a high volume supermarket retail environment. The business looks for someone with strong understanding of food retailing and the ability to step up to director level within 12-18 month period. Track record of having operated at a senior level within a developing International market would be advantageous however applicants shall be considered on their merits.
